This series of prints started from a little playful experimentation in Adobe Illustrator. The digital bug illustrations were created in 2023-2024 and originally printed as relief prints. I decided to start with and individual bug, rotate it 8 times, make the color translucent, therefore blending as they were stacked on top of each other. The final effect creates a flower like image and also hints at Spirograph designs I used to make as a young child. I animated each one digitally, and finally, I decided that screen printing would be the most effective approach to printing them.
