In this series of relief prints, I explore creating the designs digitally (Adobe Illustrator) and cutting each block on 1/8" plywood on the Glowforge. This plate is mounted on another 1/8" plywood block as a backing for sturctural support. The matrix is inked and printed traditionally.

By designing each character in a vector-based format, it allows me to rescale them as needed. A different block is used to print each color.

Many of these characters also have short animations of the character, some including lip syncing.
