Description: Work on this piece began in 2022 and is ongoing through 2023. The Madonna print is a hand colored relief print. The alterpiece box was designed in Adobe Illustrator and laser cut on a Glowforge out of wood. The wood was gilded with copper leaf and then aged with ammonia and salt. This was my first attempt of combining traditional and digital printmaking techniques.
